Cornovii Electrical

Emergency Electrician Penzance & Penwith

Overview

When something goes wrong with your electrics, you want one person who can come out, diagnose the fault, and fix it - not a call centre and a two-day wait. I cover emergency callouts across Penwith and respond as quickly as I can. Pricing varies by time of day and distance, but I'll always tell you the likely cost before I come out.

What's involved

Diagnosis

I'll ask a few questions on the phone to understand the likely cause - a tripped RCD, a faulty circuit, a damaged cable, or something more involved. This helps me arrive with the right parts.

Fault finding and repair

On arrival I work through the installation methodically to isolate the fault. Most common callout jobs - tripped boards, dead circuits, sparking sockets - can be resolved in a single visit.

Testing and documentation

Once the fault is resolved, affected circuits are tested and I leave you with a clear account of what was found and what was done. For notifiable work, certification is provided.

Typical Costs

I'll give you an honest estimate on the phone before I come out. If the job turns out to be more involved than expected, I'll let you know before doing the work.

What affects the price

  • In-hours (Mon–Fri 8am–6pm) or out-of-hours / bank holiday
  • Distance - Penzance and nearby areas attract lower callout costs
  • Whether parts are required and if they need to be sourced separately
  • Complexity - a single tripped RCD is a short job; a fault-find on an unknown installation takes longer

Example costs

In-hours callout
£100+
Out-of-hours or bank holiday
£150+

Common Questions

Do you offer free quotes?
Yes, quotes are free with no obligation. Call or WhatsApp and we can discuss the job - for anything straightforward I can usually give a price over the phone, and for larger jobs I'll arrange a site visit.
What area do you cover?
I cover Penzance, St Ives, Hayle, Marazion, Newlyn, St Just, Camborne, and the wider Penwith peninsula. If you're unsure whether you're in range, just call and ask - I'm happy to travel for the right job.
Are you NAPIT registered?
Yes, I'm NAPIT registered - member number 66376. You can verify this on the NAPIT website by searching for Cornovii Electrical. NAPIT registration means I'm assessed annually against industry standards and can self-certify notifiable electrical work, including consumer unit upgrades and new circuits.
Are you VAT registered?
Not currently, which means there's no VAT to add on top of my prices. This may change in the future, but any change would be communicated clearly before work is quoted or carried out.
